today i'm starting out with the beautiful city of prague in the czech republic. i flew into berlin and took a beautiful (but long) train ride to prague. so just a quick side note, if you happen to be in berlin and want to go to prague, i highly recommend taking the train. it's true that it will take longer than say if you were flying, but the views on the way are amazing. almost as amazing as the beautiful sights of prague...
hi!!! it's been so long since i've posted to the blog! i'm super excited to be back though; it's been too long. as you may know, my prolonged absence was due to the fact that i was in europe basically from the time of my last blog post until now... aka a looonngg time. it was super fun though and now that i'm back i'm excited to share it all on here. so get ready for a streak of travel posts, because i got a lot to share. you may just be sick of europe by the time it's all over, if that's possible. ;)

hi! recently i did a blog post on my first year of college. i talked about the things that i personally struggled with and my advice on how to deal with them if they come up for you. in this post i want to give some random pieces of advice and tips for those of you going into your first year of college. this post will be a lot less personal than the other and will not really deal as much with internal problems you may face. i know a lot of colleges start again in august, so i hope this helps some of you out!
hello; i hope you all had an amazing weekend! i had a lovely weekend spent with family visiting from nor cal, which is always nice. :) today i want to share a relatively simple diy here on the blog. recently i've been seeing lots of super cute cake stands like this or even centerpieces like this and thought that with the right tools, i could easily make one myself. so i did! here's how to do it.
hi! so during winter quarter this year i applied to take two courses abroad in berlin, germany this summer, and my application got accepted! i got in during winter quarter, but i didn't want to spread the news until things got a little more finalized. so now that things are a little more concrete, i was super excited to share it with all of you! i am beyond thrilled and grateful for this experience. i will be living in berlin for a month with two short trips to munich and dessau. i may also be doing a little traveling around europe before my classes begin, but i can't i'm completely sure what the plan is there so there's not much to say. i know a lot of people will wonder why i chose berlin as my destination to study abroad when there are so many other countries in europe that seem to offer so much more. i guess berlin isn't as flashy and popular as say some other destinations, but i think it's a fascinating city with a lot of history in it and i'm really looking forward to discovering all its quirks and gems. although i know i'll have plenty of time there to plan what i want to see in berlin, i've been casually looking at some of the things the city has to offer and so i wanted to share some of the ones i'm most excited about. maybe you're traveling to germany and you can put these on your list to check out, or maybe these will spark your imagination to check out berlin yourself! either way i want to add that this post isn't about the main touristy things. i will no doubt be visiting all of the most important and popular spots, but with a month in the city i know there will be plenty of time to check out the cool, less mainstream things berlin has to offer.
