with living on my own for the first time and starting college to just figuring out where i'm headed with my life, i've found myself getting a lot of good advice these past few months. sometimes when you're in a difficult place, all you need are some words of wisdom to get you where you want to be. i definitely listened to all sorts of advice to get me to where i am today, and so i wanted to share some of that advice with you guys. i hope this post helps you out if you're in the need of some good advice, and if you're not, you can look back to it later when you do.
the holidays have come and gone, but we've still got a lot of winter to get through before it gets any warmer. it seems like as soon as december has past everyone starts looking forward to spring! i, however, am still loving this cold weather and am going to take advantage of it. one of my favorite ways to feel all warm and cozy while it's cold and blustery outside is with candles. they set the mood for any room and get me feeling good. here i rounded up some candles that look great and that i'd love to try before winter is over.
italy is a place many people dream of going to; i know i always did. when i was in high school though, i had the amazing opportunity to travel to italy with my family the summer after my sophomore year. i can still remember the excitement i felt building up in me in the days leading up to our trip. i couldn't wait to experience a different culture; i imagined it would be a whole new world. and it was. during our trip we traveled to three cities; rome, florence, and venice. i have to say, however, florence was the magical city that stole my heart.

i'm shawndiz, a college student in desperate need of a creative outlet. i love all things design worthy and revel in creating and sharing what i find beautiful and interesting in the world. above all i believe that being a busy college student doesn't mean you should sacrifice style.
