one of the first things my roomie and i did together was bake. because i mean it's not the holidays without some baking. we decided on cupcakes because why not, and went with a festive peppermint mocha recipe. quick disclaimer: we weren't able to find a couple of the ingredients in the recipe and tried replacing them with similar items and it didn't work out too well. i mean they were still freaking delicious, just not exactly what they were meant to be. anyways, let's get on with the recipe!
hi!!! it's been sooo long since i've last updated the blog! sorry for the lull there, there was just so much going on and i could never really find the time to sit down and do a blog post. but here i am, back and with a new recipe for you all. i know thanksgiving hasn't even come yet, but being on the quarter system, my christmas break practically starts right after thanksgiving. that said, if i waited till after thanksgiving to start celebrating christmas, i wouldn't get to do all the fun festive activities i want to do with all my friends in san diego. sooo, christmas is practically in full swing in my apartment currently.

hi! i'm back with another travel/study abroad post on berlin. this is the second in a five week roundup of my time abroad i'm doing on the blog. i hope you guys enjoyed the first one; hopefully it inspired you to look into studying abroad. :) anyways, week two was so much fun. i feel like by the second week i was more familiar with my surroundings, had a good grip on how to use the public transportation, and overall i was just ready to explore! so here's a little roundup of the things i did!
hi! today is a special day, because exactly a year ago i posted my first blog post onto vogue intuition. well, kind of. VI turned one last month, in august, but that was when i was in berlin and wasn't posting to the blog. so instead i'm celebrating a month later!
it seems like forever ago that i did my very first blog post; i just feel like i have personally come a long way with my blog since that day. for that i am proud of myself, but i know i still have plenty of room to grow. that being said, i have learned a thing or two from creating my own blog by myself and blogging for a year, and i want to share some of my experiences for any of you who may just be curious or are maybe toying with the idea of starting your own blog. either way, here are some of the things i would say were pretty important. hello! today marks the beginning of a five part series about my five week study abroad in berlin! i am super excited to share it all with you guys. there may be some breaks in between, which is probably best for everyone because i think five back to back posts about berlin would be kind of tiring...
anyways, today i wanted to share my first week in berlin. most of the week was spent adjusting, getting used to the neighborhood we were staying in, and getting accustomed to using the u-bahn/s-bahn (the subway system). it was tons of fun just getting to know berlin, so here's some things we did! hola! i'm back with another travel post, as i promised. after exploring prague i took a short plane ride to beautiful barcelona, spain. barcelona is hands down amazing and definitely at the top of my list of favorite cities in the world. it is like no other city i've visited in europe. it's blistering heat, palm trees, and beaches did slightly remind me of SoCal however... i spent four days in barcelona, and was able to see practically everything, and even did a day trip to a small town tucked away in the spanish countryside. even through the heat and aching feet, it was definitely a trip to remember.
