hi! as you all know fourth of july is next week. for me the fourth has always been a fun summer holiday spent by the pool eating good food and soaking in the sun, so i'm always looking forward to it during summer break. as i said, good food has always been a part of the fun, so i wanted to share some recipes and inspiration for you to have your very own festive fourth. enjoy!

hi everyone! summer is now in full swing and i am more than officially done with my first year of college. it seems absolutely crazy that the year went by so fast. on one hand it seems just like yesterday that i moved in, and on the other it feels like this past year was one of the longest in my life. either way, i want to do a recap of my first year in college and kind of give some overall advice on how to thrive during your first year, or really any year of college you're in!
hello! i hope you're all surviving the heat wave. i spent yesterday afternoon by the pool, which really helped. today i'm sharing another fun summery recipe that is also super easy. what says summer more than cool drinks in pretty glasses and garnished with fresh flowers? i can't think of anything else... these mocktails are nonalcoholic, because i'm assuming most of you are under 21. ;) if you do want to make them alcoholic, feel free to modify them as you wish. i just thought that these would be super fun to make and sip by the pool with some friends as you enjoy the fresh air and sunshine. have fun with it! here's the recipe.
hello! i don't know about where you live but here in so cal the next few days are supposed to be super hot. i technically live in a desert, which means my city will get especially hot. i think at one point it's supposed to be 108 degrees. when it's that hot all i want to do is be in the pool and eat ice-cream, so i thought i'd share a really easy popsicle recipe that will definitely come in handy when you're trying to cool off at any point during the summer. i wanted to do something really fresh and summery, so i went with a citrus flavored theme. keep reading to find out how to make these treats!
hi! i'm finally back! so, as you may have noticed, i haven't been writing on the blog recently. the school year was ending and i just found it difficult to juggle so many things at once. i found that i was just posting things to post them; i wasn't really proud or happy with my posts, so i figured it was better to just take a break from them until summer. i think i'll get a hang of it though so that i make sure i post consistently throughout the year.
anyways, it's summer break! it's definitely nice being home: i eat a lot healthier, i work out, and i get to see old friends again. but i have to admit, i do miss living right across the street from some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. i'll definitely be appreciating them when i get back in september. as for the blog, during summer break i'm going to hopefully post twice a week. i'm really excited to be able to work on projects that were harder to do during the year and to make original content which i was really struggling with towards the end of the year. there's going to be lots of new stuff happening on the blog, and possibly some exciting news also, so stay tuned! i also want to make sure that from now on and in the upcoming year, i make this blog more focused on college girls. that was my original goal for this blog, but i strayed a little. so this year i want to make sure i set out to achieve what i originally set out to do, be a college life and style blog for college girls. for today's blog post i'm just feeling really excited for summer, and i wanted to help you guys get pumped to. so here are some pics, ideas, etc. that are definitely summer worthy that will get you longing for warm days on the beach and starry nights. :) |
