hi everyone! sorry for my short absence from the blog. i just finished my first college finals and things were a little too hectic for me to write a blog post. but here i am now! i wanted to show you guys the wall art project my roommate and i did. my roommate wanted a little something to spruce up her side of the room, and this was the perfect project! it's so easy and super fun, so i hope you use it in your dorm or wherever else you want to pack a punch with some fun and easy art!
what you need:
- 9 wood craft boards
- paint of your choosing
- paint brushes
- felt of your choosing
- scissors
- pen/pencil
- hot glue gun
- command strips
- for each of the painted boards you can either free had the design, or you can trace it. either way, sketch out the design first, then carefully and patiently paint in the shapes. if you get paint on the board where you don't want it, there's no going back, so take your time and be careful!
- while your painted boards are drying start on the felt cutting. choose words that you'll really like to have on your wall, then either free hand draw them on your felt, or type the words out and print them to use as a stencil.
- cut out your letters from the felt to make the color combinations you want.
- glue your letters onto the boards using a hot glue gun.
- attach command hooks onto the back of each board and carefully hang them up.
- finally, step back and enjoy your beautiful art work!
