some of you may know that last year i attempted to crochet myself a scarf. i started during my winter break, and i promised myself that i would continue it; but that simply didn't happen. over my summer break i didn't touch it either; just because i really wasn't in the mood because it was SUMMER. anyways, i knew i eventually wanted to finish it; so i've picked it up again. i really enjoy doing it, and i think i'll be more diligent with it this time. be on the look out for a followup post in the future with the finished product! nevertheless, i figured crocheting could be the perfect fall pastime for many of you, so i thought i would share. it's really relaxing and fun once you get the hang of it; i would recommend it to anyone. i'm not an expert myself, so i don't have a tutorial by me, but this website should get you started on your very own crochet scarf. happy fall! i hope you enjoy this new hobby! xo shawndiz

guys, it's almost halloween! i'm so ready for a candy overload and fun with my friends, although i still haven't decided what to dress up as... anyways, the best part of any holiday is decorating and getting all festive about everything. i bought this little pumpkin a few weeks ago, but i just realized yesterday that he actually has a name designated to it by a little sticker on the bottom: casper (so cute right?!) so, i decided casper needed a little more flair to him. i was going to go with the everyday glitter pumpkin, but i decided why not try something new? so, if you are looking for a super easy way to get into the halloween spirt, grab a pumpkin and get ready to marbleize it into a work of art. i love how unique mine turned out. there are so many color combinations you can do, so feel free to get really creative!
here it is! my first blog post. it's exciting and scary at the same time. but enough of that; today we're making custom notebooks. now that august is here many of us are starting school again (not me though, i still got a month to go!!!). for me the funnest part about the beginning of the school year is getting all sorts of cute and fun supplies to keep me happy through the year. if you're like me this means shelling out a lot of dough for cute supplies. so this year, instead of throwing out all your hard earned cash why don't you just make your own custom notebooks?! not only are you saving money, but your notebook will be exactly the way you like it and will serve as a powerful statement piece. lets get started!
